Visit the largest historical fort in Tobago

We start with a tour of Fort King George, which overlooks Scarborough, and is the best preserved colonial fort in Tobago. Recently refurbished to return it to its old colonial stature, Fort King George stands as a resilient monument of Tobago’s turbulent military past.

Explore the Tobago Museum

The fort is also home to the Tobago Museum which occupies what was once the Barrack Guard House. The Museum exhibits Amerindian artifacts, military relics, shells and documents from the colonial period.

Visit the most scenic destinations and beaches in Tobago

Following your visit to Fort King George and its environs, we leave Scarborough by car for a scenic drive along Northside Road, through quaint villages and to the most beautiful beaches in Tobago such as Runnemede, Castara, Englishman’s Bay and Parlatuvier. Photo stops included.

Board a Glass bottom Boat

We board a Glass Bottom Boat – a boat with sections of glass below the waterline – which will allow you to observe the magnificent underwater environment as we journey to the Buccoo Reef and the Nylon Pool.

Discover the Awesome beauty of Buccoo Reef and Nylon Pool

Come and view colourful fish, enjoy the fresh breeze and relax. Stop for a swim in the shallow crystal-clear Nylon Pool and then snorkel among exotic fish.

Take a rejuvenating swim at the Nylon Pool

At the Nylon Pool, you leave the boat for a rejuvenating swim in the 3-foot high Nylon Pool in the middle of the sea. Legend has it that a swim in the Nylon Pool can make you 10 years younger. Others say that if you kiss a loved one in the pool, you will be with them forever. After the swim, we return by boat to where we started.

Tour the Magnificent Seven

Built between 1902 and 1910, the Magnificent Seven are 7 national heritage buildings that are located on Maraval Road in the St Clair neighbourhood of Port of Spain on the western side of the Queen’s Park Savannah. Each building is of unique style based on French Colonial, German, Scottish baronial, Indian Empire, and Moorish Mediterranean influences.

Visit a Historical Fort

We then head up to the historic Fort George for a different angle of the city of Port of Spain from on high. At this immaculately-preserved 19th-century fort, one can see the original cannons, dungeons, artifacts of the day and a signal station which was established in 1802 and designed by Prince Kofi Nti, son of King Kofi Calclai of Ashanti, West Africa. Great views of the islands dot the Gulf of Paria, and one can even spot the coast of Venezuela on a clear day.
